Police officers use marked cars to get from call to call. Inside of the cars are special equipment like radios, computers, lights and sirens. Radios in the car help the officers communicate with each other and with dispatch. When an officer is given a call it comes up on the computer screen with the address and people involved to help the officer get to the call and know who to look for. Lights and sirens on the car are used to help the officer get to a call safely. When the lights and siren are activated, cars are supposed to pull over to the right so an officer can pass them and get to an emergency call.
